Volunteer service refers to services performed by DECA students to benefit our community and its institutions. Each DECA student is required to complete 100 hours of community service.

Examples of volunteer service projects include:

• cleaning local parks
• collecting items for charity such as clothes, food, or furniture
• cleaning the banks of the Great Miami River
• helping the elderly in nursing homes
• face painting at area festivals
• tutoring children with learning disabilities
