Title 1 Small Group Instructor/Advisor

Job Summary:

Title 1 Small Group Instructors/Advisors at Dayton Early College Academy (DECA) serve as advocates and academic support team coordinators for students. The Title 1 teacher/advisorprovide supplementary mathematics classroom support through targeted intensive small group instruction and assessment.

Teacher/advisors report to the DECA principal.

Language Arts Teacher/Advisor

Job Summary:

Language Arts Teachers/advisors at Dayton Early College Academy (DECA) serve as advocates and academic support team coordinators for students. The teacher/advisors manage students’ personal learning plans (PLP). The PLP is based on a personalized curriculum developed for each student and requires a variety of instruction strategies and settings. Teachers/advisors know their students well, help them plan and follow through on their learning goals, and work tirelessly to create optimal learning experiences for students in their advisory groups. Teacher/advisors report to the DECA principal.

Job Summary: The DECA PREP elementary principal manages all facets of daily school operations. The elementary principal ensures the safety and welfare of both students and staff and provides for a positive learning environment. The principal provides instructional leadership including curriculum planning and implementation, instructional strategies, student accountability, and professional development. Under the guidance of the Board of Directors and the superintendent, the elementary principal develops and implements school policy and operational guidelines. This position reports to the DECA superintendent.
